Here is verbatim of the letter sent to Weston Hills Country Club members:
Dear Weston Hills Country Club Member,
To gain a clearer understanding of the proposed sale and improvement plans of Weston Hills Country Club your Board of Governors requested a meeting with the project senior director, on Thursday, May 19. During the meeting, the Board members were able to learn first-hand the future improvement and development plans of the club, as currently submitted, should they proceed with the acquisition.
At the meeting, Board members were able to ask any questions regarding the potential sale and improvement plans, and what it means for the club and membership should the sale finalize. It was informative to hear the facts of the project, dispelling or confirming rumors that have been swirling throughout the club and community. The meeting ended with the Board deciding to take some time to consider the information presented.
On Wednesday, May 31, the Board reconvened and further discussed the potential sale and improvement plans. The question was posed to the Board if, based on the current information provided, do we as members of the Board of Governors feel the proposed sale and improvement plans of Weston Hills Country Club is in the best interest of the Club’s membership. There was substantial discussion and then we held a vote on whether the Board “supports” or “does not support” the plan as currently provided. It was concluded, based on the information provided to the Board of Governors from the May 19 meeting, your Board of Governors supports the proposed sale and improvement plan of Weston Hills Country Club and believes this to be in the best interests of the Club’s membership.
The Board of Governors understands that the sales process is not finished; there may be changes and adjustments to the plan as the potential sale progresses. We agreed that any additional information provided could change or alter our position and, if the situation warrants, the Board of Governors will re-visit our position on this matter. We as a Board encourage all members to attend any upcoming meetings with the potential ownership group and consider the information they provide.
Sincerely, Weston Hills Country Club Board of Governors
